In GIAST, co-curricular activity was organized “Celebration of Navratri”on April 12, 2024 to make awareness about the knowledge of nine avtaars of Maa Durga. In Sanskrit, Navratri literally means "nine nights".
Gitarattan Institute of Advanced Studies and Training is a learning community where each is free to be and grow towards the realization of his or her highest human potential through a harmonious integration of spirit, heart, mind, and body.
It was an inter-house activity where each house had to present one Devi Avatar. Students of B.Ed. from all houses took active participation. The celebration of Navratri enables students to understand the culture and traditions of Indian society. Through it, students would understand women& power and strengths as well as take inspiration from Maa Durga. Our pupil teachers show confidence and fluency in expressing their views on Navratri. Each house presented their view on specific “Devi Roop” or Devi Avatars such as Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, etc., as well as the as the significance of Devi Roop or Devi Avatars.
