Gitarattan Institute of Advanced Studies and Training organized an extension lecture on Latest CBSE Assessment pattern. This lecture was moderated by MS. D Anupama, The Principal. The teacher trainees and faculty members of Gitarattan institute were present throughout the session. Ms. D Anupama has thirty years of experience in the field of Administration & Teaching. She is presently serving as the principal of a renowned school. The lecture was started with a discussion with the students about the new assessment pattern by CBSE is for classes 10th and 12th where she quoted examination is a very major factor in learning.
A well-informed session was taken by her on the new assessment pattern by CBSE. Some Key Points were that the assessment will be done twice a year i.e. Term 1 and Term 2. Both the terms will have equal weightage if schools continued to be offline. Term 1 will be at the end of November and Term 2 at the end of March. Term 1 examination will consist of only MCQs and will be of ninety minutes and also it will cover only rationalized syllabus. Term 2 will have a two-hour paper in descriptive format and it will cover the remaining rationalized syllabus. Furthermore, she told, "in the case of class 9th, ten marks will be of internal assessment".
The Lecture ended with her counsel to all the students about the importance of assessment for Students and to the teachers. The whole session was informative, engaging, enriching, and erudite.
