A Nation will not survive morally or economically when so few have so much and so many have so little. In Order to facilitate equal educational opportunities to all the students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society, a wonderful initiative through Merit cum means financial assistance cheque distribution ceremony was organized by the Delhi government at Thyagraj stadium on 4th Oct. 2021, Monday.
An imbalance between rich & poor is the oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics. The education is the only most powerful weapon that can bridge this gap between rich and poorand hence can lead a country towards its utmost growth and development. Thus, It is the 'Right' for each and every child out there to receive it in a proper and effective manner. This courageous & appreciable initiative by the Delhi Government has been started recently from 2018 for Delhi's economically weaker background Students i.e minority students.
The Premier Teaching Institute of Delhi Gitarattan College of Advanced Studies & Training also participated in the ceremony. GIAST was represented by esteemed Lead- Supervisor Dr. Shikha Ranjan, along with 4 students who belong to Merit cum means financial assistance Scholarship. The students from different backgrounds and the qualified teaching fraternity were also gathered at Thyagraj Stadium at around 3 pm. Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodiya delivered a very motivational speech for encouraging students to never comprise on their Quality education. He, in his beautiful speech, emphasized that how important ensuring quality education is for the future generation.And, Every child out there should have the opportunity to receive a quality education.
Focus on becoming JOB PROVIDERS rather than JOB SEEKERS. He inspired the future generation to become entrepreneurs and rule this country! Also some added values in the field of education were highlighted. It is must for the students to receive a proper guidance for their future avenues at a very young age, and this is possible only when the schools will take different initiatives in order to promote proper counselling programs for their pupils.
The event ended on a very motivational and inspirational note through a well organized Cheque distribution ceremony to all the students belonging to economically weaker sections. This is a great initiate, much like an award scholarship to meritorious students belonging to such economically weaker sections of society so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability. Without assistance from an outside source, students may have trouble paying for the degree they need in order to enter the workforce and become contributing members of society.
The Event was a massive success, providing new hopes and rays to all the students who wish to study further but doesn't have proper means to acquire it.
