Pollution prevention protects the environment by conserving and protecting natural resources while strengthening economic growth through more efficient production in industry and less need for households, businesses and communities to handle waste.
Firing crackers on Diwali increase the concentration of dust and pollutants in the air. The smoke that pollutes air can make people's condition much worse who are suffering from colds and allergies.
The crackers contain many toxic gases and chemical compounds which activate after getting in touch with exposed air and start harming us. Inhaling fumes of crackers can increase the chances of asthma attack. Heart patients and chronic bronchitis patients come under a high risk of attacks too.
Hence to reduce this kind of discomfort and problems this festive season Gitarattan Institute of advanced studies and training had observed National pollution prevention day on 1 November ,2021.
The Pupil teacher presented poems, posters, Acts, short stories which were depicting the harm of crackers. How young children are compelled to do work in crackers factories ,how it destroys their future and how these crackers pollute our environment. All these things were pointed out by students . The Pupil teacher showed how Aware they are and how they play their role in protecting their environment. Teachers appreciated their efforts and the way they presented their views. As the demand of crackers swells on occasions like Diwali, children are forced to work in firecracker factories .Hence for saving these children from this evil we should make our best efforts to reduce crackers use .This Diwali make it green as your green Diwali will become the reason of Happy Diwali for those child labours who risk their lives and future in cracker factories. Everyone learned something and reminded them of their responsibility towards nature.
