Orientation Program AGAAZ B. Ed. 2024

The Orientation program AGAAZ' 2024 of the session 2024-2026 for the newly admitted B. Ed. students, dignitaries, faculty member & Resource person of the event Prof. Haneet Gandhi, Dean (Admission), Department of Education, University of Delhi, organized by GIAST on Saturday, 17th September 2024 at Auditorium, Rohini.

The welcome address given by the Dr. Shikha Ranjan (B. Ed coordinator), who welcomed the students and the resource person and gave an introduction regarding the academic and disciplines followed by Lamp Lighting ceremony and Ganesh Vandana dance, performed by B. Ed. II year students.

Our resource person of the day, Prof. Haneet Gandhi has given the fabulous start to the event by sharing her valuable experience of teaching profession and also discussed about the role and professional growth of the teachers. She also motivated the students and the teacher educators to work hard and succeed in their life.

Followed by introduction of the institute by Ms. Neha Bajaj, Assistant Professor (GIAST). She has introduced the institute history, vision and mission with students. The goal of the orientation was to spread awareness among the students with reference to the B. Ed. Program its curriculum and college campus. The course was introduced by Ms. Shikha Sharma, Assistant Professor (GIAST). She has briefly overviewed the two-year B. Ed. Program with total four semester. After the briefings about the course, faculty members were introduced and provided their subject overview. Further, Ms. Neelam, Librarian of college shared the details about availability of books and rules. Followed next, Alumni students of B. Ed. II year had shared their great experience as teacher trainee at GIAST.

Lastly, the gratitude expressed by Ms. Shikha Sharma, Assistant Professor (GIAST) to the Chairman, R. N. Jindal, Principal Prof. Sonia Jindal, our guest Prof. Haneet Gandhi, faculty of college and students without them this event can’t be successful.

                         

Objectives:

  • To bridge the gap between students & faculties.
  • To aware the students about the college culture and inform the students about the code of conduct.
  • To prepare the students about their career goal & how to work on it.
  • To involve and learn about the career development process and develop their skills.
  • To create awareness among about the various co-curricular and extra activities helps the student for their overall development.
  • To create awareness among students about the professional etiquettes.
  • To promote the students for enhancing their skills & learn about the various innovative ways to enhance their career.
