Unity Day Celebration

The pupil-teachers of Gitarattan Institute of Advanced Studies and Training, B.Ed (II Year) celebrated the 106 Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 1st November 2021 via Google Meet.

The event was supervised by Dr. Shikha Ranjan ma'am. All the pupil teachers participated enthusiastically. The participants talked about his Early life and also that he served as the first Deputy Prime Minister of India from 1947 to 1950. He was an Indian barrister and a senior leader of the Indian National Congress who played a leading role in the country's struggle for independence and guided its integration into a united, independent nation. The participants also covered his various achievements and awards bestowed upon him .

The Statue of Unity is a monument dedicated to Patel, located in the Indian state of Gujarat, facing the Narmada Dam, 3.2 km away from Sadhu Bet near Vadodara. At the height of 182 metres (597 feet), it is the world's tallest statue, exceeding the Spring Temple Buddha by 54 meters. Finally the celebration was concluded with the slogan 'Take to the path of dharma' the path of truth and justice. Don't misuse your valour. Remain united. March forward in all humility, but fully awake to the situation you face, demanding your rights and firmness." The efforts of the participants were appreciated .

It was an educational experience. All the pupil teachers get to know more about the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his vision for India.
