Yoga as a discipline is very helpful for all of us as we are living a very stressful life and it can bring change in the hectic process. It acts as an agent of reduction in stress, and anxiety by enhancing mood and overall sense of well-being. For the celebration of the International Yoga Day on the 24th of June, a series of celebrations started on 1st June and culminate on 12th June, 2022 with the initiative of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The organization has coordinated a series of webinars to create awareness and mindfulness.
Gitarattan Institute of Advanced Studies and Training, dutifully and with seriousness participated in the event through the live stream on YouTube. The event started at 11 AM and was about an hour long.
The event started with Maa Saraswatiaavahan and the previous sessions were also revisited. Shri Saumya Acharya ji highlighted what stress is? What level of stress is good? How stress can be managed? He emphasized on what is the meaning and purpose of yoga in one's life. Yoga creates the equivalence of mind leading to meaningful insights.
Educators and students were enthusiastic about the event and were able to relate to and agree with the knowledge being bestowed by Shri Saumya Acharya Ji. It was fascinating to how yoga can create a lot of difference and subjugate the toxicity in the life of increased stress level and anxiety levels. The event was enlightening in every way.
